Honda P series
P Series Robots from Honda – Prototype robots; P1, P2, P3, and P4 (from left to right). The worlds first humanoid robot (P1) was developed in secret in 1993 from the E series research. Honda unveiled the robots to the world in 1996 with the P2. P3 and P4 arrived in 1997 and 2000 respectively. Wikipedia. After the P series came Asimo in 2000.Point of Interest: The P3 platform (3 units) was sold to a consortium headed by Kawada Industries and Kawasaki Heavy Industries. This project is called the Humanoid Robotics Project (HRP) for the development of general domestic helper robots. see the HRP series robots.
Pilgrims from AutomataPilgrims – from the 2014 film ‘Automata’.Humanoid robots, built by human survivors of a solar flare catastrophe to aid in the rebuilding of civilization. Pilgrims have two protocols: 1) A robot cannot harm any form of life and 2) A robot cannot alter itself or others. (no doubt inspired by Isaac Asimov’s ‘Three Laws of Robotics’.

In the film a Pilgrim 7000 unit is found repairing itself, a violation of the 2nd protocol. This cannot be allowed as robots will quickly evolve themselves and might, just might, be a threat to mankind; especially if there is more than one self repairer…
